Mumbai-based model Ashna Zaveri, who debuted in the Santhanam film Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham, is again joining hands with the comedian-turned-hero for his next film Inimey Ippadithaan. The pretty girl says that her character in the movie is that of a girl called ‘Maha’, and is close to her heart.
“It is a lighthearted, romantic comedy. I play a fun loving jovial, college-going girl. It is very close to me, as it reflects my real life personality. You will see a whole new Ashna in this film.” With Santhanam at the helm there is a lot of humour, she adds. Recalling a funny incident while shooting for a song sequence, she said, “We were shooting for a song routine in Puducherry where I break a beer bottle over Santhanam’s head. These beer bottles were specially made for the shoot, so that they break easily on impact.
But once when I hit him, it didn’t break. After a few takes, I became engrossed and hit him more and more forcefully. Poor Santhanam, but arrived the next morning with a severe headache. I was so embarrassed.”The petite girl also was raving about how she rapped a Tamil song, an unusual and different experience for her. “I have also learnt a lot of Tamil words from Santhanam and am
now able to understand some of the jokes he cracks on sets,” she said.
