Watch: Spectators stare in shock after two planes collide at air show in Italy

Rome: Two aerobatic planes collided ahead of an air show in Italy leaving a pilot dead and another injured. Both the planes were performing a stunt over the beach, flying parallel to each other as they moved closely and ended in a collision.

As spectators watched the thrilling display, the experience turned disastrous with the horrific collision. The video footage showed hundreds of onlookers watching the planes fly over the beaches of Tortoreto on Italy’s Adriatic coast.

Luigi Wilmo Franceschetti, 43, has been injured but second pilot Marco Ricci, 47, died after the wing of his aircraft sheared off in the crash.
