Exclusive: 5 Things to look out for in the 'Dhrishyam' trailer

The film's trailer is slated to release in the next couple of days

Director Nishikant Kamat is all set to release trailer of the upcoming film ‘Drishyam’ in a couple of days. We at DC chanced upon watching an exclusive preview of the trailer a while ago, and here are 5 things you should watch out for in the trailer:

1. Nishikant Kamath’s story telling: This National Award-winning director has tremendous amount of body of work in the past few years in both Hindi and Marathi cinema. Nishikant narrates a very intriguing story trailer itself. He has effortlessly managed to create a whole lot of drama in the 2 minutes 55 seconds trailer. It takes a special kind of skill to keep the story line going without playing around with Ajay’s true image, Nisihkant has certainly nailed it.

2. Ajay Devgn: Ajay has completely transformed his body language and mannerisms for this film. The actor has stepped out of his comfort zone this time. Although there are no over-the- top action scenes, Ajay’s non glamorous hero entry is easy on the eyes.

3.Tabu: The actress, who plays a cop in the film makes an entry at a very important juncture in Nishikant’s storytelling. Her close-up shot and the moment she glares at Ajay is the second highlight of the trailer. The actress makes an appearance in both Khaki uniform and plain clothes and still manages to look every bit in character. Tabu is stunning and raw as ever in the trailer of ‘Drishyam’

4. Background music: In a Nishikant Kamat film where storytelling takes the front seat, the director has played with the music really well. The trailer has its moments of silence, packed with intense music at some high points of the trailer. Good music plays an important role in storytelling, and Nishikant has intelligently managed to use the background score to convey his message.

5. The element of suspense: The trailer that initially highlights a normal lifestyle of Ajay, with wife and kids, takes a dramatic turn which completely changes his life. The way the story unfolds in the trailer leaves you wondering what exactly is the crux of the story and what will happen next.

A Panorama Studios and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Production, presented by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Drishyam is being jointly produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Ajit Andhare and Abhishek Pathak.
