Avoid CBSE result delay
The uncertainty grew as the dates kept changing almost on a daily basis
It is indeed a proud moment for all CBSE students, especially those in the Kerala region who came out with a sterling performance and achieved the top position with over 99 per cent marks in Class X exams for the second consecutive year since the establishment of the region in November ’13.
However, the saddest part for the students was the board kept the students on tenterhooks from May 13 to May 27 when the results were finally announced. The uncertainty grew as the dates kept changing almost on a daily basis.
It reflected poor administration and lack of coordination between team members handling the job. They could have at least chosen a particular date for publishing the results, thus reducing the tension of parents and students. I hope the officials will take steps to avoid such a delay next year.
Besides, CBSE students are joining the state syllabus as the-y are not entitled to get 1 per cent grace mark. I don’t understand the reason for this discrimination.
Amid all these obstacles, the last date for filing applications for Plus One was fixed on May 30. This left students and teachers running from pillar to post to complete document formalities at such a short notice.
Issues like question paper leak, control over supervisory staff, scheduling of valuation and removing hiccups in the announcement of results required to be addressed at the earliest. I humbly request the centre and state administration to work in close coordination to sort out all these issues
