CM K Chandrasekhar Rao sure of winning 5 MLC seats
The CM reportedly exuded confidence that the party would win all the five seats
Hyderabad: Chief Minister and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao is looking at winning five MLC seats it is contesting. Mr Chandrasekhar Rao, who has sent the Opposition in a tizzy, fielding five candidates for the MLC elections under the MLA quota, convened a TRS Legislature Party meeting at the party office. He decided to conduct mock polling on Saturday and Sunday for the June 1 polls to ensure that MLAs cast their vote right.
The CM reportedly exuded confidence that the party would win all the five seats and asked MLAs not to be unduly worried about the result. “The Chief Minister asked us not to be perturbed over the victory of the fifth candidate in the MLC elections. We will win all five seats. There is no doubt about it. We now have 78 MLAs besides the support of friendly parties. We need 18 MLAs per candidate. We will win with ease,” a TRS MLA told Deccan Chronicle after the meeting. Asked how, he said, “Don’t ask about the strategy. We will not reveal it. But we will win all the five seats we are contesting.”
