Visakhapatnam: As the entry of Congress heavy weight and former state minister Botsa Satyanarayana into the YSR Congress seems to have been finalised, his bête noire, Bobbili MLA Sujay Krishna Venkata Ranga Rao is set to quit Jagan’s party. Sources close to the Bobbili MLA hinted that he, along with his brother R.V.S.K.K. Ranga Rao, who is fondly called as Baby Nayana, will hold a meeting with their followers soon in Bobbili and decide on future course of action.
“Its certain that if Botsa Satyanarayana is joining the party our leaders are going to quit the YSRC. Its due to the humiliation Botsa caused to them they had to leave the Congress and join the YSRC. Now how can they be with him in the same party? TD has always been asking them to join the party to strengthen it in the district. But they wanted to be with the YSRC only. It’s unfortunate that for his gains, Jagan has decided to dump our leaders and embrace Botsa. Bobbili rajas have been with the YSRC since its inception and with Jagan during hard times,” said a close associate of the Bobbili MLA.
Last month, when there were reports about Botsa Satyanrayana’s entry into the party and the Bobbili MLA expressed his resentment, Jagan spoke to Ranga Rao to pacify him. Ranga Rao is said to have expressed his displeasure on the face of Jagan. Sources close to Bobbili Rajas added that they may join the TD.
