Hyderabad: A four-member gang, armed with a revolver and knives, made a futile attempt to loot the Muthoot Mini Finance Company branch at Hydernagar in Kukatpally Housing Board Colony.
The gang threatened the company’s staff but they raised an alarm and attracted the attention of locals. The gang got scared at this and fled with the hard disk containing the CCTV footage.
The incident kept cops on their toes as a similar modus operandi was used in the robberies at RC Puram in Medak district and the bank robbery at Choppadandi in Karimnagar district. The police is investigating if the gangsters are Simi operatives and whether the incidents are connected.
