The OUJAC members are now working towards getting support from Hyderabad MP

Hyderabad: The representatives of Osmania University JAC visited leaders of major political parties on Wednesday in order to get support from them for their demands.
Leaders of the parties whom the students met include BJP state president, G. Kishan Reddy, TPCC president, Uttam Kumar Reddy, TDP leader, R. Krishnaiah and Tammineni Veerabh adram from the CPM. Members of the OUJAC said that all the leaders have agreed to support the students’ concerns over encroachments on OU lands. The leaders also have supposedly accepted the students’ argument that while construction of houses for the poor is acceptable; constructing them on OU lands is objectionable. The OUJAC members are now working towards getting support from Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on their issue.
OUJAC spokesperson M. Krishank, said, “With all political parties agreeing to support us the CM will be alienated politically on the issue. We hope Mr Owaisi also supports the OU students in their struggle against encroachments on university lands. We also hope that he voices his view soon on taking away of OU lands for construction of houses for the poor.”
OU JAC students have also booked the ICSSR hall in the university campus to conduct a meeting of all student unions and political party representatives on June 2 on the occasion of state formation day and to develop a united stand on the issue.
