Advisers’ tenure extended in Telangana

The tenure of six advisers to the state government was extended by a year
Hyderabad: The tenure of six advisers to the state government was extended by a year on Wednesday. CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao had appointed six retired officials as advisers for a period of one year on June 2, 2014, the day TS was formed.
They were accorded the rank of Cabinet minister, along with a monthly salary of Rs 1 lakh, HRA of Rs 50,000 and facilities like car, driver, telephone etc. Among them are four retired IAS officers: A.K.Goel, who is overseeing planning and energy; A. Ramakrishnan (welfare), B.V. Papa Rao (policy and institutional development) and K.V. Ramana Chary (culture, tourism, endowments, youth and media affairs). Retired chief engineer R. Vidyasagar Rao was allotted irrigation, while retired IES officer G.R.Reddy was given finance.
