Visakhapatnam netizens vent ire on Chandrababu Naidu for negligence
Youngsters use TD’s FB page to express disappointment
Visakhapatnam: Vizag netizens are using the social media to vent out their ire on CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of stepmotherly treatment to Vizag while concentrating on the development of the new capital between Vijayawada and Guntur. Vizagites are expressing displeasure over TD government’s ‘negligence’ towards the city.
Some youngsters are using TD’s official FB page to register their dissent over no progress on many long pending projects related to Vizag’s development. It all started with a post on TD’s Facebook page on Monday afternoon praising Mr Chandrababu Naidu for getting a best master plan prepared by Singapore, for the new capital Amara-vati’s development.
An enthusiastic youngster from Vizag, Srinivas Duvvuri posted a reply to it “What about a city that already exists CM Babu? Are you so blinded by the capital that you don’t see anything else? You were going to form Vizag Metropolitan Development Authority. What happened to that? You want to build a green field city. from the scratch there but have no time, budget or funds to develop and existing city? Earlier - you took away all possible development from Vizag and focused it only on Hyderabad. Fine that was a large enough city. Now you again are ignoring Vizag and this time- you want to build a large city out of nothing! Why do you hate Vizag so much? Some of your cronies will make a couple of statements like “Vizag will have convention hall” “Vizag will be IT hub etc etc.” But nothing is happening on the ground. I should never have voted for you. Shame on me. (sic) ”
Another netizen Anil Karthikeya said “What about signature towers which u promised after Hudhud?? U said within one month foundation stone will be laid Any update of that? Surya Vizagite said “Babu garu VMDA ekkada??? Nara Chandrababu Naidu this is your promise before elections and you didn't even care! I'm feeling that I've wasted my first vote for you! Only words no implementation. (sic)”
The reply to the TD post led to a debate with more than a 100 reply threads. The post trended the entire evening.
