Was SRK tweet Kabir Khan’s idea?
SRK supported Salman’s family during the latter’s recent legal troubles
When Shah Rukh Khan tweeted the first look of Bajrangi Bhaijaan on Tuesday, with a message about how, sometimes, “being a brother is more important than being a hero”, Twitterverse went wild. It was also seen as an indication that the truce the two warring Khans had called at Arpita Khan’s wedding, was genuine.
A source who is close to both superstars admitted that the ice had been thawing for a long time, and while Arpita’s wedding was where they finally set aside all their differences, their friendship was cemented further when SRK supported Salman’s family during the latter’s recent legal troubles. “Not many people know this, but Shah Rukh was regularly in touch with Salman’s family while the court proceedings were on,” our source said.
And apparently, it was Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan who asked SRK to tweet the first look of the film. “It was Kabir’s idea and Shah Rukh readily agreed. The tweet is one more gesture from SRK that his friendship with Salman has entered a new phase,” the source added. Kabir hasn’t commented yet on how the first look of Bajrangi Bhaijaan made its way into the public domain via SRK.
