TTD to upgrade online services
The system is being augmented to make special entry darshan booking round the clock
Tirupati: In a bid to make the technology more pilgrim-friendly, the management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has been gearing up to enhance its on-line services with more transparency. The upgraded services will be available from June 1 onwards.
TTD executive officer, Dr D. Sambasiva Rao on Monday, during the weekly meeting with senior officers of TTD in his chambers in TTD administrative building in Tirupati, has directed the IT wing of TTD to enhance its services. He advised them to make some amendments in the existing system in the on-line services of booking of special entry darshan and Arjitha Seva tickets.
The important changes in the offing in on-line services in order to make the e-booking system more pilgrim-friendly include sending regret letters to the failure transactions for the '300 special entry darshan tickets. A mail will also be sent to the pilgrim stating that the amount for the failures transaction will be refunded within three days. As a measure of transparency in booking system, to display the names of the devotees who booked the on-line Seva tickets in the web site after 12 midnight every day.
The system is being augmented to make special entry darshan booking round the clock. However, for the on-line booking of Seva tickets the existing procedure will continue and every day the booking will be opened by 9 am.
While booking special entry darshan ticket, henceforth the principle devotee alone has to scan his photo and ID-proof while for the rest of his family members there is no need to submit both. The other members can scan only their ID-proof and they have to bring the same ID-proof while reporting for darshan.
