Nellore: A minor girl was gang raped by two youth living in NTR Nagar Girijan Colony in Pedda Padugupadu of Kovur mandal late on Sunday night. In a vain bid they also attempted to murder her.
Shockingly, one of the accused is a cousin to the victim. The accused dragged her into an autorickshaw belonging to one of them when she went to relieve herself to the outskirts of the colony around 11 pm on Sunday.
They molested her in a secluded place. Later, the duo stuffed a cloth into her mouth and tied her hands and legs with a rope to dump her in Pennar River from the over bridge. However their attempt was foiled by an auto driver who became curious after noticing the auto parked on the bridge. The accused pushed her out of the auto and sped away from the scene.
