Games on Facebook Messenger?
Facebook is looking to add gaming options on Messenger to make it more interactive. Facebook Messenger has become more dynamic over the past six months with the addition of new features such as video chat, peer-to-peer payments and similar customer oriented services.
“Currently, we think the Messenger platform is best suited for apps that focus on content creation and curated content. But one of the reasons we were excited to announce that Messenger platform is open to all developers is to see what people will build. From there, we’ll think about what else might make sense,” a Facebook spokesperson said.
Facebook has now opened itself up to third-party developers in an attempt to increase its engagement with users and its customer base. The new development means customers can expect games on their Facebook messaging platform. The social media giant is in talks with various developers to make customised games for the platform that has over 600 million users but it remains to be seen how games will work or fit into a messaging platform.
