Thiruvananthapuram: State Director-General of Police K. S. Balasubramanian has ordered a Crime Branch probe into the complaint of K. Sankara Raman, brother of late actor Srividya, against former minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar.
Mr Raman had met Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and home minister Ramesh Chennithala the other day seeking a probe into Ganesh Kumar's failure to execute the will of Srividya. The home minister had passed on the complaint to the DGP.
Mr Raman alleged that Ganesh Kumar had made a mockery of the will. A Trust that was formed as part of the execution of the will remained on paper, he said. "I came to know of the Trust only through the media," Mr Raman added.
In her will, Srividya wanted a Trust to be formed for providing financial help to children from economically weak families and the setting up of a dance and music school. She had also set apart Rs 10 lakh for her brother's children.
