Parents worried over CBSE X results delay
Thiruvananthapuram: Parents and students who wanted to migrate to state syllabus are worried over the delay in the announcement of CBSE Class X results. The last date for submitting applications for the State Plus One course is May 25 (Monday).
According to reports, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) may publish the results on its official websites cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in next week. The Plus Two results would be announced first.
Higher Secondary Directorate joint director P. A. Sajudeen said the directorate would announce extension of the last date for submitting online applications for Plus One admissions. “In any case, we would give a chance for the CBSE students also to submit their options,” he told DC.
Sources in the department said they were waiting till the last minute to announce the extension for some technical reasons.
“In case we announce it early, there are chances for Kerala syllabus students stopping their option registration,” he said.
There was a general tendency for students to wait till the last minute for submitting the options. This may result in heavy traffic on the website subsequent issues when the CBSE results are announced, sources said.
