Hyderabad: The Telangana government will hold the first anniversary of the state’s Formation Day celebrations on June 2 at Parade Grou-nds, Secunderabad in a grand manner. Tableaux are being prepared by various government departments to showcase the achievements of the TRS government during the year.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who took part in TS Formation Day celebrations on June 2 last year soon after taking oath as first CM at Raj Bhavan has decided to stick to the same venue this year too. Though the CM explored various venues for holding the first anniversary, he zeroed in finally on Parade Grounds, Secunderabad.
The highlight of this year’s celebrations is the parade by 550 Telangana artistes, who were recently given government jobs by the government to utilise their services in achieving “Bangaru Telangana”.
These artists would perform various programmes to highlight the Telangana history, culture and traditions. Telangana “shoba yatra” will also be held in Hyderabad and districts on the occasion.
The TS government, which constituted a special body named “Telangana Samskrutika Sarathi” headed by TRS MLA and popular Telangana Dhoom Dhaam artiste Rasamayi Balakishan, will lead the celebrations this year. “Telangana artists will actively involve themselves in the week-long celebrations from June 2. A cultural extravaganza has been planned on the Tank Bund on June 7, where about 5,000 artistes from all the T-districts would perform and enthrall the audience,” said Mr Balakishan.
From the government side, as many as 20 tableaux are being readied for parade on June 2.
These tableaux would display the flagship programmes of TRS government such as Mission Kakatiya, Water Grid, 2BHK houses for poor etc. Special focus is being laid on tableau displaying information technology sector to project Hyderabad as the IT hub of the world.
