Lucknow: The special task force in Uttar Pradesh has arrested an Army jawan for allegedly making obscene video clips of another army man’s wife and then blackmailing her. The accused army man was arrested after a complaint was registered in the matter. He has been handed over to the cantonment police.
According to the complaint, Naveen Singh Bisht, a constable rank personnel posted at 25 Wireless Signals at Central Command in Lucknow Cantonment, recorded objectionable clips of the fellow armyman’s wife since he had easy access to the victim’s house.
The STF have recovered the mobile phone used in making the video clip from his possession. “He (Bisht) would record the clips on his mobile phone after developing familiarity with the members of the family.
Then he would blackmail the woman threatening to make the clips public,” a STF spokesperson said. The woman, who was initially reluctant to lodge a complaint, shared her trauma with her husband who in turn approached the STF and got the accused arrested on Friday night.
“The woman’s husband had lodged an FIR under IPC sections 292 for sale or circulation of obscene material and 383 for blackmailing,” police said.
