Speeding vehicle knocked down the two-wheeler while trying to overtake it

Chennai: Two casual labourers on a two-wheeler were killed after an unidentified car knocked them down along the Chengalpet bypass on Saturday morning.The deceased, Ravi (43) and Loganathan (41), residents of Meyyur village, 8 km off Chengalpet, were on way to work around 7.30 am when the incident took place.
The speeding vehicle knocked down the two-wheeler while trying to overtake it and fled, the police said. The two men suffered grievous injuries and were declared brought dead at the Chengalpet government hospital. The locals tried to stop the vehicle without luck. The Chengalpet (town) police registered a case and are investigating.
