Veteran actor criticises big producers and calls them ‘lafoots’ at Dongata’s success meet

Mohan Babu is on fire! The versatile actor and producer got angry when asked about some producers trying to create a rift in the Telugu film industry. “The film industry is not owned by any single person. Anybody can come here and produce films. People who want to dominate the industry won’t be successful,” he said.
He added that he always supports the small producers. “There are many people who call themselves big producers, but are big blunders. They get money from financiers and face problems when the film comes up for release because of unnecessary expenditure. At the last minute, they turn their backs on the financiers. They are not big producers, they are ‘lafoots’,” said an angry Mohan Babu..
He said that small producers come with their own money and work hard to release their film. “These are the real producers,” he said. Mohan Babu was the special guest at the success meet of Dongata produced by his daughter Lakshmi Manchu. The meet was also attended by Adivi Sesh, Prabhakar Vamsi Krishna and Raghu Kunche. “I knew what was happening in the industry. Because of my busy schedule I didn’t talk. I am not afraid to speak the truth and I will talk about all the irregularities that are happening soon,” he said.
