Vaigha, who recently met with an accident, is on her way to recovery. But the actress, who has been on a forced break from films for a few months, has decided to extend it till December to focus on her studies and also to achieve a new look when she makes her way back into the industry.
“After the first schedule of the shoot of Ennu Ninte Moideen, I met with an accident and it became impossible for me to shoot because I had some stitches on my face. I played one of the five sisters in the movie, but I couldn’t attend the second schedule. The team had to improvise on the script for the second schedule and I have no idea how much of my original scenes will be retained in the movie because of that. But then, even when you have shot the entire movie, scenes do get cropped. I have had such experiences many times. There is nothing you can do about it,” says Vaigha.
The actress, who had to go for a three-month rest for recovery, chose to turn it into an opportunity. “For the past three-four years, I have been concentrating on my films because of which I have not been able to do my Masters. So I thought since I am on a break anyway, I’ll join for an MBA in HR. I’ll have my first semester exams in December and I’ll be coming back to films only after that. It has been so long since I completed my B.Com, so I am trying to focus on my studies. Besides, in the past few years, though I have done nearly a dozen films, many of the roles I have done were not to my satisfaction. So this will be an opportunity to reassess my choices,” she explains.
Vaigha is also planning to achieve a leaner and meaner look when she comes back. “The tastes in the Mollywood industry are quickly changing. Though we preferred our actresses to be plump a few years ago, we too are going for the slim and beautiful concept now. Since I am already undergoing rigorous training with my personal trainer for dealing with a back injury, I thought it would be good to also focus on getting a slimmer, toned look in the process. When I am back in December, Mollywood is definitely going to see me in a new look,” she signs off.
