Sad not to see KKR in final: Shah Rukh rues over team's absence
Mumbai: After two victorious feats at the Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan was left slightly disheartened while ecstatic fans cheered for Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings during the IPL 8 Final in Kolkata.
The electrifying environment at the Eden Garden, Kolkata, couldn't do much to lift his mood. Shah Rukh was left ‘feeling sad’ that his team could not be a part of the final at the home ground.
Just realised how sad it feels not to see KKR at The Eden. Especially with my lil son still screaming KKR watching TV. All the best MI & CSK

However, son AbRam had his spirit in place. The toddler went on to cheer for KKR despite their absence.
The Bollywood hero, who watched the match on television, extended good wishes to both finalists Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
Kolkata Knight Riders won the league twice in 2012 and 2014.
