ISIS claims it is ‘closer’ to buying nuclear weapon from Pakistan

‘The scenario is 'more possible today than it was just one year ago’

Islamic State has now claimed that it is ‘closer’ to buying a nuclear bomb from Pakistan to smuggle into US.

The report came to light in an article written by British hostage John Cantlie for ISIS’s magazine, Dabiq.

“The scenario is 'more possible today than it was just one year ago,” the article states.

Cantlie, a photojournalist has been held captive by the extremist group for more than two years and has appeared in several ISIS propaganda videos.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the article claims that ISIS has billions of dollars in the bank and has links with corrupt officials in Pakistan.

‘Perhaps such a scenario is far-fetched but it’s the sum of all fears for western intelligence agencies and it’s infinitely more possible today than it was just one year ago,” it says.

According to reports, ISIS has every intention to attack US on its home soil and they are looking to do something ‘big’.

The controversial article ends with the warning: “As the territory of the Islamic State crosses from one border to another like a wildfire that is burning out of control, it’ll be only a matter of time before the Islamic State reaches the western world.”

Cantlie was captured in Syria in November 2012 along with US journalist James Foley, who was murdered.
