Rajkumar Hirani to produce his sister's play
Mumbai: Rajkumar Hirani, who is one of the most successful filmmakers in Bollywood has now decided to try his hands at a new medium. He will be producing his sister, Anju Kishinchandani’s play, ‘Growing Up’.
The drama is apparently based on the theme of puberty. Reportedly, when Rajkumar learnt about the concept, he instantly decided to support his sister. He further encouraged her to take the idea forward and transform it into a film or play.
The play handles a very sensitive subject in a humorous way. Rajkumar felt that the idea will help inculcate a positive attitude towards the subject. It becomes awkward for parents to take up the subject with their children and hence this will encourage open communication.
Anju is excited about the play because her brother is backing her work, discussing and brainstorming and also giving important inputs.
