Baahubali scores Rs 3 crore
Bengaluru-based Lahari Music shells out a massive sum
Hyderabad: While the amount has not been officially released, Manohar Naidu of Lahari Music confirmed in a press release that the company had bought the music rights of Rudhramadevi and Baahubali. “There was big competition for Baahubali, but we finally acquired the rights with a fancy offer,” he stated.
The film’s music has been composed by Keeravani, Rajamouli’s brother. Rajamouli has already announced that the film’s promos will be released on May 31, and according to a source, the makers are planning an audio function at the same time. They were initially looking at the Lal Bahadur Stadium for the function, but dropped it due to parking problems. “Now, they are looking for another venue near Gachibowli,” says the source. Karan Johar will be attending the audio and promo launch.
