Zippr simplifies address searches
“Zippr” code is going to change the way people search for addresses in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: The next time you call 108, order a pizza or shop something on an e-commerce website, you need not waste time guiding the other party in finding your house. “Zippr” code is going to change the way people search for addresses in Vijayawada and other cities of Andhra Pradesh soon.
Zippr, a project started by Hyderabad-based entrepreneur Aditya Vuchi, generates an eight-character alpha-numeric code that encapsulates an address with the help of a GPS-enabled mobile. As Zippr has partnered with 108 in Andhra Pradesh, one can just call 108 and give the Zippr code, which will enable the driver to know the exact location, thus saving time.
Zippr has also partnered with some food chains and e-commerce websites. “It’s like the future of pin codes. You can just give your personalised code to companies that have partnered with Zippr or just share with friends so they can find it on Google Map, instead of confusing them with long addresses,” said M. Siddhartha, a city-based entrepreneur who is currently using Zippr.
The company has also partnered with Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and has already started allocating codes to the buildings in the city. The Zippr code is being displayed at one of the municipality offices too.
