PM Modi meets ministers for planning celebrations on first anniversary of NDA
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met senior ministerial colleagues to discuss programmes to celebrate the first anniversary of his government. The meeting was attended by Cabinet ministers, including ministers Arun Jaitley, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, M. Venkaiah Naidu and Nitin Gadkari.
Mr Modi, who returned from a three-nation on Tuesday night, it is learnt, discussed issues related to celebrating the first anniversary of the NDA government on May 26.
Sources disclosed, BJP president Amit Shah also met the Prime Minister in connection with the anniversary celebrations. The Prime Minister, it is learnt, told his ministers and party leaders to spread the message about the work done by the government during the last one year, particularly highlighting the initiatives in the social sector.
Mr Modi will be addressing a rally at party ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s home town in Mathura on May 25. The week-long celebrations will be observed as “Jan Kalyan Parv,” with party leaders, including ministers, MPs and chief ministers addressing rallies and public gatherings across the nation. BJP leaders will also be distributing booklets on the achievements in their constituencies while each department will prepare such booklets.
