88 year old man told his family that he had been roaming around for a ‘month’

Chennai: The 88-year-old man from Avadi, affected by amnesia, who went missing in Tiruvallur, has returned. Though Mr C.G. Ramakrishnan went missing on Friday, on Wednesday, he told his family that he had been roaming around for a ‘month’. A retired government employee, he turned up at his daughter Sudha Subramanian’s house in Avadi on Wednesday morning with four chapattis and pickle in his hand.
“He had Rs15 with him though he had left his other daughter’s home in Tiruvallur without any money,” his grandson Surendra Babu, employed in Puducherry, said.The family is planning to take him to hospital because he had a swelling in his leg. “He had a railway ticket from Chennai Central to Avadi in his pocket,” a family member said.

He told his grandson that he was bored of sitting at home and had visited Kashmir and Assam. According to him, he decided to return because the family could have been searching for him during the last one ‘month’. As soon as he returned, he had a glass of milk and idlis and promised his grandson that he would not venture out without a companion.
