6 child labourers rescued from Hyderabad

The children were rescued during the ‘Swacch Hyderabad’ campaign
Hyderabad: About six child labourers were rescued from a mineral water packing and distribution unit at Hassannagar area in Mailerdevpally police station limits on Wednesday.
Interestingly, there wasn’t a raid. The children were rescued during the ‘Swacch Hyderabad’ campaign.
As part of the cleanliness campaign, Shamshabad DCP A.R. Srinivas and other officials had come to Rasheed Colony in Hassannagar.
While cleaning the place, there were some goods carriers, trucks blocking the path near Aqua Shine and Aqua Amruth.
The officials went inside to inform the authorities and found the children working there. “There were six child labourers, all from Bihar, who were working there. Other workers there were aged around 18-19 years. While four kids were rescued from one unit, two were rescued from the other. Their details were collected and they were handed over to the child line officials,” said S.Venkat Reddy, inspector of Mailerdevpally.
Officials found that the kids were sent to Hyderabad by an agent from Bihar identified as Vinod. He is absconding and a manhunt to nab him is on.
