Chennai: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy became the butt of all jokes after he almost tied a mangalsutra around the bride’s neck at a wedding in Tamil Nadu.
Swamy was invited to attend the wedding to bless the couple. The elders gave him the mangalsutra to hand it over to the groom.
To their utter shock, Swamy went up to the bride to tie the mangalsutra around her neck instead of giving it to the groom. A vigilant elderly woman pulled him back on time.
The video of the incident has gone viral.
