KOZHIKODE: It was more than the applause and appreciation that models who walk the ramp at fashion shows receive. The models of the fashion show organized in Kozhikode won hearts - because they were cute little kids showing off their modelling skills.
It was at the Little Prince and Princess contest organized by Lukmance Model Management firm, that selected kids from around Malabar dressed up in great style and walked the ramp with great confidence.
Around 25 kids in the age group of 6 to 12 were selected out of the 100 applicants for the final rounds of the contest, where the kids contested in two different rounds, one in Indian ethnic wear and the other in western wear.
Talking about the show Lukmance, the founder of the Little Prince and Princess concept, said, “This can be termed as a first of its kind exposure for the kids’ in Malabar, where they get to wear beautiful dresses designed by professionals of our production house and are also getting a platform to showcase their diverse talents”.
“Kids selected here will get an opportunity to work for ad company’s, modeling and will also be cast in films according to their interest and taste”, he added. The contest conducted for the first time in Malabar will be organsied every year, in search of talented kids, assured the company.
