Porkalathil Oru Poo denied censor certificate?

Censor board is sill to give the reason not giving certificate

Porkalathil Oru Poo (POP) is a film based on the life of Isaipriya, a popular LTTE Tamil newscaster-turned-actress from Sri Lanka, who was reportedly murdered by the Lankan army. The movie, which has debutants Priya and Subash Chandra Bose in addition to Telugu actor Nagineedu, has been denied a censor certificate after it was screened to the board. Produced by Gurunath Salsani and directed by Ganesan from the Kannada industry, POP has maestro Ilayaraaja’s alluring music and compositions.

Speaking about his grievances with the Censor Board, Ganesan says, “After watching the film, the censors refused to give it a clearance. Although I gave them an explanation for all their queries related to the film, they were unwilling to give their reasons for rejecting it. They also refused to send it to the revising committee at Mumbai or Delhi. All my efforts to bring out a true story have gone down the drain.”
