In ABCD2, which is being touted as India’s first 3D dance film, its female lead Shraddha Kapoor had a tough time keeping pace with her co-star, Varun Dhawan. While Varun is a natural dancer, Shraddha had to work hard to get there.
Recalling her struggle to excel, choreographer-director Remo D’Souza says, “Shraddha started off at a disadvantage, unlike other dancers in the team. But she was determined to get it right, match steps with Varun and all the other professional dancers.”
The actress burnt the midnight oil, rehearsing her intricate steps rigorously, even injuring herself in the process. But the results, according to Remo, are staggering. “By the time we started to shoot, Shraddha was dancing like an expert, completely in tandem with Varun and other dancers like Lauren Gottlieb, Raghav Juyal, Dharmesh Yelande, Ketan Vaghela and Ravi Shewale.”
