Pakistan had won the Kargil war, says Pervez Musharraf

New Delhi: Recalling the Kargil conflict, Pakistan’s former military dictator General Pervez Musharraf has claimed that the Pakistani Army had “caught India by throat” and that India will never forget the war, according to news agency reports from Karachi.

Reacting to the comment, minister of state in the PMO Jitendra Singh, however, said that India always had the upper hand in the area. “I think the sequence of event points otherwise.

India has always had an upper hand both before Kargil, during Kargil and even today and that is something which is now being acknowledged across the world,” Mr Singh was quoted by news agency reports, as saying.
