New Delhi: As the countdown to the completion of Modi government’s first year in power begins, the NDA government is all set to showcase its successes , based on ‘improvement in the overall internal security situation’ and a ‘dip in communal incidents’.
The Union home ministry is also ready with official statistics to blunt all charges, likely to be brought by the Opposition. On May 22, Union minister Arun Jaitley will hold an extensive press briefing outlining the achievements of his government. Home minister Rajnath Singh is next in line.
The MHA is making its own ‘’booklets of achievements’’ including points like Electronic visa facility to several countries, 33 per cent reservation for women in police forces in UTs, decline in naxal violence, keeping terror at bay, major steps for the safety and security of women in the Capital, dip in communal incidents among others. Future plans of the ministry are also outlined in the booklets.
After Rajnath Singh, other central ministries will follow suit with back to back press interactions of other central ministers. This will precede the May 26 grandeur, where MP will hold an anniversary rally in Mathura.
