Kozhikode students better ISCE record
KOZHIKODE: When Class X ICSE results were announced two days earlier than the previous year on Monday, students from the Malabar region excelled, scoring maximum marks.
Among the 17 ICSE schools in the city, both girls and boys have put up an impressive performance with 100 percent results.
Sandra O., student of St Francis English Medium School, Kundayithode, scored the highest with 95.5 per cent marks, among 59 students who took the the exam from the school this year.
At the same time, with little difference in points, Vaishnav Kris-hna of St Mary’s English Medium School, Chevarambalam, scored 94.34 per cent.
St Francis school principal Shobha Mohan said, “All the 60 students scored very well. We have six students who scored full A+ and 49 students scored above 70 per cent”.
“Even though few subjects were tough, students managed to perform well and the credit goes to the intensive trai-ning they underwent during the two months prior examination”.
St Mary’s holds the record for the most number of students who wrote the exam from the district — 81.
Of them, 17 students bagged A+ and 19 scored A grade. At Auxilium Nava Jyoti HSS, Kunnamangalam, out of 56 students, more than 20 scored A+.
