Stalin invited Dr Ramadoss junior for his nephew’s wedding

Chennai: DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin on Monday called on PMK leader Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, barely a week after the latter spewed venom on the former and his party. Stalin along with his younger brother M.K. Tamilarasu invited Dr Ramadoss junior for his nephew’s wedding. However, both the leaders scotched rumours by clarifying that no politics was discussed during the meeting. The two CM aspirants also advised the media not politicise Monday’s rendezvous.
“Both Ramadoss and Anbumani invited us in person for their family wedding. This is beyond politics. I have invited him on the basis of that culture. I will also invite Dr Ramadoss (senior) as per the wish of Kalaignar,” Stalin said, adding that a wave is building up against the ruling AIADMK and it would be visible close to the elections. Echoing similar views, Anbumani told reporters that, “Stalin and Kalaignar attended our family wedding. We will follow the same culture and attend their wedding.” Dr Ramadoss is among a long list of leaders has met in the recent days. On Saturday, Stalin visited Vaiko. State Congress leader EVKS Elangovan, TMC president and G.K. Vasan are other leaders he had met.
The DMK heir apparent has been meeting various opposition party leaders in the backdrop of his party trying to bring together the entire Opposition against the ruling AIADMK. Expectation is building up ahead of big DMK family wedding in which many prominent faces of the state politics rub shoulders.
