Botsa Satyanarayana’s YSRC plan in jeopardy
Hyderabad: Former PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana’s entry into YSR Congress has hit a roadblock. While opposition leader and YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy wanted to give an MLC seat to Mr Satyanarayana, he demanded the post of floor leader in AP Legislative Council. This demand was not accepted by the YSRC.
A top functionary of the YSRC said, “Mr Satyanarayana’s entry was discussed seriously. It was decided that he will be given an MLC seat in Visakhapatnam local body. However, he demanded floor leader status, and since there are other senior leaders in the party, it decided against it. However the doors are not yet closed to Mr Satyanarayana.”
Moreover, Bobbili MLA Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao had warned that he would leave if Mr satyanarayana joins the party. Meanwhile, Mr Satyanarayana on Monday vehemently denied joining the YSRC and said that he would remain in the Congress. He said that the reports of his trying to join YSRC are baseless.
