Supporters of ISIS have indicated their menacing presence in Europe by putting up threatening messages with pictures, showing iconic images of Italy’s monuments in the background.
According to a report published by the Daily Mail, an image put up on Twitter shows the Colosseum in Rome, with a handwritten threat in Arabic. The note, written in a bit of paper also carries with it, a logo of the terrorist group. Similar threats, with other symbolic structures in the background, have come up online.
“Islamic State in Rome. Now is observing and locating for the target. Waiting for the zero hour,” reads one such threat.

The authenticity of the images could not be verified, although Russia Today reports that most of the images were taken in Milan, instead of Rome, as is claimed.
These images have come up at a time when intelligence sources have indicated that the ISIS is using the large swathes of Mediterranean refugees as a medium to send its jihadists into Europe.
Similar threats have appeared in the past, and Italy has been the subject of such threats for quite a while, although the Romans have dismissed them as fake and hoax.
