Xiaomi, the smartphone manufacturer based out of China, recently launched the mid-range Mi 4i smartphone in India. The Mi 4i is one of the modest-looking, feature-rich and premium, smartphone with a low price tag of just Rs 12,999. With the success of the Mi 3, Mi 4 and now the Mi 4i, Xiaomi seems to be now working on a mid-range smartphone which sports a Snapdragon 808 chipset.
Gizmo China reported that a Chinese electronics industry analyst Pan Jiutang mentioned about the information through his Weibo account about Xiaomi’s next move. He added that the device will be unveiled in the third quarter of 2015, probably during the yearly launch of Apple’s next flagship handset. The device, which uses the Snapdragon 808 chipset, is also stated to have a competitive price, almost around the same as that of the Mi 4i. As far as the design is concerned, there is no information as yet.
