Celebrated writer Tushar Hiranandani joins Balaji Motion Pictures as Head of Development
Mumbai: Balaji Motion Pictures Limited (BMPL), the films business unit of Balaji Telefilms Limited (BTL), today announced the appointment of Tushar Hiranandani as Head of Development.
With the appointment of Tushar, the studio has taken a further step at strengthening its film unit which is already on course with the production of several exciting films over the next few months. Tushar wrote his first film Masti and later went on to write films like Ek Villain, Main Tera Hero, ABCD 1, Grand Masti, Houseful 2, Double Dhamaal and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge. His upcoming releases as a writer include ABCD 2 and The Flying Jatt directed by Remo D'Souza, Half Girlfriend and Intouchables remake directed by Mohit Suri, Great Grand Masti directed by Inder Kumar and Dishoom directed by Rohit Dhawan. Balaji has already created a dominant presence in motion pictures, being positioned amongst the top 5 production studios in the country. Building on Balaji’s content creating expertise is one the key areas of focus.
On the new appointment Mr. Shubhodip Pal, Chief Executive Officer, BMPL, “Tushar joining us is a step towards further consolidating our content generation capabilities.
