Telangana to celebrate its formation grandly

Government directs officials to celebrate the day on a grand note
NIZAMABAD: The district administration has decided to conduct a week-long celebration of Telangana state formation Day from June 1 onwards. The state government has directed the district administration to conduct the maiden celebration in a grand manner. In this connection, village, mandal, municipal and district level celebrations will be conducted across the district.
Government office bu-ildings will be coloured and illuminated with coloured bulbs. Fire crackers will be burst on the midnight of June 1 to commemorate the state formation day.
Premises of government office buildings will be cleaned as part of Swachha Bharat and Swachha Telangana programme.
Peoples’ representati-ves will hoist national flags on the occasion of Telangana state formation day on June 2. Government and non-government organisations will participate in the celebrations. Nizamabad district collector D. Ronald Rose said that officers should celebrate the state formation day on the lines of Independence Day and Republic Day. He said that people from all walks of life should participate in the celebrations.
He also directed the of-ficials to make arrangements for pay fitting tributes to Telangana martyrs. Meanwhile, district, mandal and municipal level awards will be given to the best farmer, teacher, doctor, artist, social worker, journalist and to people under other categories.
Selection committees will finalise the entran-ts to give cash prize along with citation. Rs 51, 116 and Rs 10,116 cash prize will be handed over to the recipients.
Interestingly, awards will be given for Telugu and Urdu languages.
