Chandrababu Naidu is cheating people, alleges YSRC chief Jagan
Mr Naidu promised Rs 2,000 unemployment allowance to 1.75 crore unemployed youth
Uravakonda: YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday slammed Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for cheating the people with his false promises after assuming power with their votes. Participating in the weavers meeting as part of Rythu Bharosa Yatra in Uravakonda in Anantapur district, Mr Jagan reminded that Mr Naidu had backstabbed TD founder N.T. Rama Rao for power and now he was cheating the people and farmers with his false promises.
At the time of elections, Mr Jagan said that Mr Naidu assured the people that he would waive farm and Dwcra loans of SHGs. However, after assuming power, he said Mr Naidu backtracked on those promises. The opposition leader said that Mr Naidu promised Rs 2,000 unemployment allowance to 1.75 crore unemployed youth. However, Naidu completely ignored the farmers, weavers and unemployed youth after assuming power. Even in the loan waiver for farmers, Mr Naidu politicising the issue to get mileage, Mr Jagan said.
Stating that 11 weavers committed suicides in Anantapur, Mr Jagan said that weavers are forced to commit suicide as the government totally failed to support them financially. He recalled during the stint of YSR the weavers were provided with '600 subsidy on raw material besides providing them with bank loans. Mr Jagan said that YSRC would mount pressure on the government to provide pension to all eligible weavers and would picket the collectorates soon in this regard.
