Hyderabad: Rami Reddy’s elder daughter Prathyusha witnessed the entire incident of her mother, grandmother, and sister being killed by her father. She managed to escape from Rami Reddy and hid herself in the balcony and closed the door.
The frightened teenager narrated the ruthless act of her father to the police and the media. “All of us were asleep. Mummy, who was sleeping in the adjacent room, suddenly shrieked and daddy locked the door from inside. He called Akshaya next and attacked her. He throttled her to death. When my grandmother asked him what was happening, he replied ‘nothing’. After a while he killed her too,” said Prathyusha.
“I got scared and hid in the balcony and closed the door tight. He called out for me too by calling my name. He threw a knife at me. Meanwhile, uncle (Govind Reddy) came and daddy, out of anger, asked him ‘who are you?’ and said, ‘The property would be mine if I killed everyone and that is why I have killed them’,” she said.
Mr Govind Reddy said, “I came down and knocked on the door and he came and stood at the window with a knife. I asked where were the others, he said that he had killed them all.”
