In tune, kid on her way to Rhymes World Cup
She was first runner up in the India national finale held on February 1
Visakhapatnam: City girl Kankatala Sri Nivruthi, LKG student of Etasi Timpany School, has left behind over 7,000 participants from various parts in the country in different stages of the Rhymes World Cup to reach the grand finale which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on May 31.
Sri Nivruthi is the first child from the city to be selected for the competition and she will compete with over 20 participants from seven countries in the finals. She will represent India along with three others in the junior group in the event. In the final round, participants are required to sing two rhymes of their choice in 90 seconds and their presentation skills, which include actions, pronunciation and voice modulations, will be evaluated.
A confident three-year-old Sri Nivruthi says she can fluently recite over 50 English rhymes without any mistake. She claims that she can even sing some Tollywood movie songs like rhymes.
The little girl was first runner up in the India national finale (south west zone) held on February 1 in Bengaluru. She dreams of becoming a doctor in future. “The Rhymes World Cup is designed to enhance the language, cognitive, physical and emotional skills of the kids and we are very confident that our child Nivruthi can excel in the finals too as she has overcome the stage fright and she has good grasping power,” said parents of the child K. Naveen Kumar and K. Kalyani.
