Hyderabad: The nine accused people in the Nabeel murder case will be sent to judicial remand on Thursday. Police said that though the preliminary probe is over they will seek five days custody for investigations.
“So far, we do not see any conspiracy in the murder. However, we have taken a serious note about concealing the murder and misleading the victim’s parents. charges have also been slapped against them for that,” said DCP V. Satyanarayana.
An official said hours before the fight Nabeel and others had made fun of main accused Owais’ hairstyle and bike. In the video Owais’ face seemed to be gripped with rage as he advanced towards Nabeel. Police said they are going to start a new phase of community policing in the area.
"We will conduct meetings with elders in all police station areas in south zone to raise awareness about discipline among youngsters," said DCP Satyanarayana.
The police will also visit high schools and Intermediate colleges to educate the young about the issue. "We can use this incident as an example on how things they do for fun can go wrong. There will be continuous awareness programmes in schools," said another senior police official.
