Street fighting: Injury on head led to Nabeel's death

The police will produce the accused in court on Wednesday to be sent to judicial remand

Hyderabad: Forensic doctors have confirmed that Mohammed Nabeel had died due to internal head injuries caused by more than 10 blows on his head and chest.

Following the preliminary report of post-mortem examination, police has now booked a case of murder against Nabeel’s friends along with other charges.

“There were at least nine injuries on his body, both internal and external. The probable cause of death could be due to internal head injuries that affected his brain functions severely,” said a forensic doctor. The samples have been sent to FSL for examination and the final report will come in a week, officials said.

Mir Chowk inspector of police, Mr V. Yadagiri Reddy, said that they have altered the case from suspicious death to murder. “As per the preliminary findings, we have booked a case under IPC 302 against the accused,” he said. The police will produce the accused in court on Wednesday to be sent to judicial remand.
