More stir against Telangana Rashtra Samithi soon
ADILABAD: The ongoing RTC workers’ strike has paved the way for similar agitations in the state by Opposition parties and various trade unions against the state government.
All these organisations have reportedly extended their support to the RTC workers strike, not wanting to miss out on the opportunity to destabilise the TRS party.
Staffers of 108 emergency services, outsourced employees of Indira Kranti Patham (IKP), contract employees of Transco, contract lectures working in government colleges and many others may follow suit of agitating workers of the transport utility giant.
They are now busy holding meetings to chalk out agitation plans to achieve their demands. It is for the first time in the new state that striking workers got support from other organisations including TJAC and TNGOs.
Leader of a trade union of TSRTC said their morale was boosted with the support of TNGOs who got 43 per cent fitment hike and support of TJAC and TNGOs which were considered to be friendly with TRS as their leaders never came out openly against Telangana government’s decisions and policies.
The leader recalled that even TNGOs honorary president Devi Prasad supported their strike. Leader of a teacher’s organization Venkat said that everybody was waiting for an opportunity to raise their voice against the state government for not fulfilling its poll promises but it was the RTC workers showed the path.
