Veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao is in the news after having received summons from the CBI in the coal scam, and he has to attend to court on May 22. The director is confident that he will come out clean from the coal scam.
“For the last 50 years I have had a very clean image and it was reflected in the white coloured clothes that I wore. But now, some people are trying to use me as a scapegoat to save somebody else,” Dasari said at a function that was organised by a cultural organisation to award veteran director-actor Vijayanirmala with Dasari’s Swarna Kankanam on Monday.
“Entering politics was a big mistake. Till now, I led a respectful and honourable life, but now a black mark has been put on me by some people. I want to remove it and am confident that I will come out clean,” said the director. Dasari Narayana Rao will soon produce a film, featuring “power star” Pawan Kalyan in the lead.
