Priyanka Chopra attends 'Quantico' bash in New York

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra has kept her Bollywood life on hold, to live the life of a party in the city that never sleeps, New York City. The actress, who is running on a tight schedule made it in time to attend an ABC Network Upfront Party, Monday evening where she was joined by her ‘Quantico’ co-stars and other American television stars from the ABC family.

Priyanka who plays the lead in the action series, is officially the first Indian actress to bag a leading role in a television show abroad. That’s not the only good news for the star, the show was also picked up by the network for a prime time slot this fall.

The show titled 'Quantico' will have PC playing the role of a half-Caucasian half-Indian FBI trainee Alex Parrish who is born and brought up in the United States. Priyanka left for NYC on Sunday, to attend the special screening of the pilot episode of Quantico and also to attend the TV Upfronts Party.

Priyanka walked the red carpet in a simple white summery dress by Zac Posen. She kept both makeup and accessories to the minimum and added a hint of colour with a pink and gold clutch.

PC, who is now part of the big ABC family that boasts of shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Castle, Agents of Shield, Modern Family, Revenge, Scandal and many more, said that she binge watched episodes of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ as it was her favourite show.

The actress has a lot to look forward to in the months to come, and it's not only this major television project, but she will also be seen in two big Bollywood blockbusters 'Dil Dhadakne Do' and 'Bajirao Mastani'. The first look of her next film 'Gangaajal 2' was also released yesterday. PC will trade in her glamorous avatar for the khaki uniform as she takes on the role of a female cop in the sequeal to the Ajay Devgn starrer 'Gangaajal'.
